Local Event Raised Over $40,000 for Arthritis Foundation of Virginia
The inaugural Beef, Bourbon, and Blues Event this past Saturday at The Obici House was a major success for the Arthritis Foundation of Virginia. The AF not only exceeded their attendance goal, with over 150 people in attendance, but also exceeded their fundraising goal by raising over $40,000. SMOC is proud to be a sponsor of this event, and grateful for our working relationship with the local chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
The Billy Joe Trio (pictured above) livened up the atmosphere with their blues-style music. Local representatives from Ironclad Distillery & Blue Sky Distillery were present sharing samples of their local, handcrafted spirits. Other memorable moments include – Jasen White, from The Independent Fire Company, brought his antique fire truck and National Car Club Council Secretary, Tiffany Dockery, displayed her 1968 Ford Mustang (pictured below).

Thank you to all who came out to the event, sponsored the event, and those who donated money, time and talents to ensure the success of this event! The local support for this foundation is incredible.
